Our teams here at our Tampa and Sebring, Florida eye centers believe that the safer we make your LASIK surgery procedure, the easier it is to choose Newsom Eye. We have set high standards to guide us through the LASIK procedure. Unlike other LASIK centers, we apply the same safety standards to a Newsom Eye Custom LASIK surgery that we apply to cataract surgery, lens replacement surgery, retina surgery or any other intraocular surgery. We treat patients the same way we have treated our family and staff that have chosen the LASIK surgery procedure, here at Newsom Eye.
The Newsom Eye Custom LASIK Safety Standards start with our policy to only perform our LASIK surgery procedures in an AWARD WINNING surgical center, which is certified by the state of Florida and fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, (AAAHC). The AAAHC is the highest source of accreditation in our field. It is a private, non-profit organization that compares the quality of a healthcare organization’s services and the sterility of its facility to national standards. Doctors’ offices and clinics are not subject to the same standards of sterility and safety as AAAHC accredited facilities. In fact many LASIK centers do not have any oversight or accreditation for their surgical facility. Utilizing and maintaining this facility for the purposes of your LASIK procedure is costly, but when it comes to the safety of your surgery, Newsom Eye will never cut corners.
