Dr. Eric Liss is a comprehensive and surgical ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and glaucoma care. He is an expert in cataract surgery with premium lens implants and MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery), managing dry eye syndrome, area-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy. After completing his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia, he also served as Chief Resident. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in resident education and was recognized for his leadership and dedication to patient care. Dr. Liss’ expertise extends beyond clinical practice to research and education. He has authored numerous publications and presented at national conferences, contributing valuable insights into the management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, uveitis, and keratoconus. His work has been featured in various prestigious forums, including the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) and the European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS).
Excited to return to his home state, Dr. Liss, his wife, daughter, and dog reside in Brooksville, Florida. Dr. Liss enjoys gardening, particularly cultivating tropical fruits and edible plants, and has a passion for chess and reading about European and East Asian history.
