Surgery Resident
Dr. Gallagher is a current resident in the accredited Newsom Eye Residency program associated with Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This program, with a focus in primary eye care, ocular disease, cornea and contact lens management, and cataract and refractive surgery, carefully selects residents based on skillset, education, interpersonal skills, and motivation to enhance the practice of Optometry and is led by Eric Fazio, OD, Medical Director of Optometry at Newsom Eye.
Dr. Gallagher is experienced working with a myriad of patient populations through her numerous internships and externships.
While Dr. Gallagher was earning her Doctorate of Optometry, she had the opportunity to help provide hundreds of Special Olympics athletes with proper spectacle correction. During her externship training at Draisin Vision in Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. Gallagher saw many pediatric and special needs patients, including those on the Autism spectrum. Dr. Gallagher also worked with underserved populations in Fort Lauderdale and Miami Florida, as well as veterans in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Gallagher is passionate about providing exceptional eye care that every patient deserves.
Dr. Gallagher was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her dog, friends, and her family
in Philly.
