Lauren Wasikowski, OD


Dr. Wasikowski a Newsom Eye 2022-2023 Optometry Resident in the accredited Newsom Eye Residency Program. Residents are carefully selected to join this competitive program based on their education, experience, skillset, and passion for optometry. This program is led by Dr. Eric Fazio, Medical Director of Optometry and Primary Eye Care Physician at Newsom Eye.

Through Dr. Wasikowski’s extensive internship experience, she gained knowledge in the pre- and post-operative care of cataract and LASIK surgery, comprehensive eye exams, and the treatment and management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Wasikowski completed an Internship at Newsom Eye during which she gained skills and knowledge in eye care and was inspired to pursue her residency. She is proud and excited to be back to complete her Residency in Optometry with our Newsom Eye team. Dr. Wasikowski is committed to treating every patient with the same care and dedication that she would to close friends and family members.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, she has lived in seven different states some of which include Florida, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Outside of her clinic work she enjoys playing volleyball, reading, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and going to the beach.
